From Genesis 3:6, I draw three maxims for life. They are born out of the value judgments of Eve and Adam, which plunged the world into despair.
Genesis 3:3 reveals the seeds of legalism and sets the stage for its destructive consequences in the lives of all people.
Genesis 3:5 tells the ironic tale about how humanity gave up the very thing it needed to fulfill a need it never had, all because of the lie of the deceiver.
Genesis 2:7 teaches us that, as created beings, we have a purpose, which is good. We are to seek it out and live it with contentment.
