Where Have I Been?

October 13, 2019  Min to Reads

It is hard to believe that this blog has sat idle for over two years. That is too long, and you might wonder where have I been? So, as I begin to revive this work, let me take a moment to explain where I’ve been.

When I first began writing this blog and building this website, I worked for a Fortune 100 company, UPS. As that career developed and I grew as a person, I developed a strong desire to help others grow too. I also uncovered a strong desire to build a business of my own. Thus, I began a transition and shelved the blog.

In March of 2018, I left UPS after 18 years and joined a new company, RSS Technology Solutions, as their Director of Marketing and Product Development. As a Director in a small business, I am more intimately involved in the bigger picture of running a business. I’m learning a great deal from my boss, the CEO, and President, Mark Love

Most significantly, Mark is demonstrating to me the wisdom and thoughtfulness required of a business owner. I’m learning that you can’t make knee jerk reactions to problems or opportunities. Thoughtful and patient decisions win the day. Informed decision making is critical.

Now, another transition or development is underway. While building the RSS marketing department, we uncovered a new business opportunity – offering digital marketing services to other businesses. So, a new company is born with me as a CoFounder and CEO. Wearing two hats won’t be easy, but the lessons learned will be.

RSS Digital Marketing Group is the culmination of a dream for me. A chance to build something new – a real business, and I am thrilled by the opportunity. As the days march forward, I’ll share the store with you here.

So, that is where I have been. For now, welcome back! I look forward to a renewed dialogue with you.
