The Bike to Beat Cancer 2022 100-Mile ride is less than two weeks away, and I’m ready! I’m really excited to put this ride under my belt. It will be the second time in my life that I’ve ridden 100 miles in one day. My plan is to not let it be the last. Here’s why!
I find that having major milestones like this motivates me. I want to be healthy and able to live an active life long into my retirement, but I know that won’t happen if I’m not living a healthy lifestyle now. But just saying I want to be healthy isn’t enough to motivate me. I need major and minor milestones along my path. They have to be things that I can point to as accomplishments. Rides like this fit that bill.
Another reason I’m excited about this particular ride is that it reminds me that I can do things to help others. Raising money to help people suffering from cancer is a worthy endeavor. I’m so grateful to those who donated to help me reach my $400 fundraising goal. I’ve actually raised $450. However, that doesn’t have to be it.
If you would like to be a part of this opportunity to help others, make a donation today. Here’s this link:

And just so that you can see that I’m serious, check out my long ride from this past Saturday. If I can’t maintain a similar pace, I’ll finish the century ride in just under six hours.
